Business Consultant (Full-Time/Part-Time)

Job Scope / Principal Accountabilities:

  • Strong Hunter who will penetrate Avvanz's database of leads and generate own leads --> Qualify Prospect for a match against Avvanz’s solutions --> Develop --> Convert to Opportunities --> Acquire as New Business --> Channel the SME type of Clients to purchase via Avvanz Online and Large Corporate Clients through Contractual Agreements. 
  • Apply Consultative selling rather a product-oriented selling approach.
  • Consistently maintain Avvanz’s highly ethical and professional approach to all Clients.
  • Demonstrate and effectively articulate the value propositions of our services eventually sealing an amicable and revenue-generating partnership with the targeted clients. Develop and interpret financial models for business development opportunities identified.  
  • Collaborate with other Functional Groups seamlessly to ensure Client expectations (which should have been set properly in the first place) are exceeded.
  • Ensure a healthy sales pipeline is maintained in the CRM. 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or any related field of study with more than 7 to 10 years of sales and business development experience in penetrating and selling into Fortune 500 or major corporate and / or regional MNCs. MBA is a plus
  • Proven ability to communicate confidently and effectively especially with Senior Management audience (CXOs, VPs, Directors, Senior Managers) and act proactively in a consultative business environment. Able to produce results both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Outstanding relationship management capabilities with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of energy and self-driven initiative. The Sales characteristic preferred is a “Hunter” type. You have to be the type who craves a challenge and not afraid to push yourself outside your zone of comfort
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, intensely deadline driven environment with rapidly shifting priorities. 
  • Definite Plus if there are senior levels HR and/or Risk/Compliance contacts in Fortune 500 companies across multiple market verticals/segments.
  • Travelling might be required whenever needed. 

Skills:

  • Insight-led Selling methodology ie Challenge-the-client-norms, re-educate the Clients and then position Avvanz's value propositions.
  • Candidates with Information Services or Professional Services selling experiences highly preferred. 
  • Excellent presentation skills. 
  • “Hands-on” approach to challenges and solutions oriented. 
  • Strong “soft skills” imbued with cross-cultural understanding of business across the APAC region.
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English is a MUST
  • Proficient in word processing, presentation, database, email and online software. Experience in working with Salesforce/Siebel is an added plus

  • Video editing skills: Website and social media content will not just be text but frequently visual as well
  • Web development skills: A digital marketing executive is not a software developer, but you will need sound knowledge of HTML/JavaScript, strong knowledge of search engine optimization and advanced Word and Powerpoint skills
  • Project management skills: Digital marketing executives also need to be good at handling time-sensitive projects and working to deadlines

Job Scope / Principal Accountabilities

  • Conduct background checks on candidates and/or employees of Avvanz's clients (organizations) in a structured, organized and systematic manner. 
  • Conduct necessary detailed research and ensure that the data gathered are accurate and true. 
  • Verify information provided by the candidates of Avvanz's clients
  • Handle conversations with candidates and previous employers of candidates in the most professional manner as an Avvanz ambassador
  • Actively and promptly follow up with employers (HR and/or supervisors)
  • Adhere to personal data privacy laws and obligations by protecting confidentiality of the data
  • Update background checks reports in the format stipulated by Avvanz and clients.
  • Escalate issues with reports to the supervisor
  • Align with Performance KPIs

Skills, Competencies and Qualifications

  • Any Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficient in MS Tools: Excel and Word
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English

HR & Finance Manager

This position will directly report to Avvanz's Managing Director based in Singapore. 

Job Overview: 

Manage the HR and Financial activities of Avvanz. Oversee the staff policy development, recruitment, training and the general staff well-being.  For accounting functions, (s)he will provide accurate and timely financial reporting such as Accounts Receivables and Payables. Overall, the position's workload will be approximately split into 40% finance and 60% HR tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties:

HR Tasks:

  • To manage HR planning and operation including staffing, compensation and benefits, payroll, workplace health and safety programs and employee relations.
  • To plan and source for suitable candidates when there is a need to hire new or replace leaving employees.
  • To support the learning and development needs of staff, including sourcing of programs, course registration and grants application.
  • To conduct new employee on-boarding and resigned employee off-boarding process.
  • To ensure high engagement and motivation of employees
  • To support the annual performance appraisal cycle along with the bonus and salary review exercise.
  • To review and ensure HR policies and procedures are in line with legislation and company requirements.
  • To support the implementation of HR initiatives, Systems and Policies in line with Company’s objectives.
  • To maintain Leave databases, employee databases, Personal file and HR records.
  • To handle filing of insurance claims and benefits.
  • To handle monthly payroll and income tax filing for foreign employees.
  • To process for issuance of HR letters and memos.
  • To handle employee complaints and queries pertaining to HR services or related issues.

Finance Tasks:

  • To manage full sets of accounts and ensure timely and accurate month end closing.
  • To analyze and advise the financial statement and management reporting.
  • To set objectives for the accounts receivable that are aligned with Financial goals
  • To monitor processing of invoices
  • To ensure timely collection of payments
  • To negotiate with clients in non-payment cases
  • To prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc forecasting reports
  • To organize records of invoices, bills and deposits
  • To ensure high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with the law

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Accounting with equivalent working experience
  • Min 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Focus on Client retention that will include reactivation of lapsing/lapsed Clients.
  • Apply Consultative selling rather a product-oriented selling approach.
