Business Consultant (Digital Sales)

Job Scope / Principal Accountabilities:

  • Strong Hunter who will call into Avvanz's database of leads and/or generate own leads via market research --> Qualify Prospect for a match against Avvanz’s solutions --> Set up appointments to understand prospect's challenges and position Avvanz's solutions accordingly --> Nurture and Develop --> Submit RFPs/Detailed proposals --> Convert to Opportunities --> Acquire as New Business --> Channel the SME type of Clients to purchase via Avvanz Online and Large Corporate Clients through Contractual Agreements. 
  • Plan and implement integrated marketing activities across digital channels within the allocated budgets
  • Apply Consultative selling versus a product-oriented selling approach.
  • Consistently maintain Avvanz’s highly ethical and professional approach to all Clients.
  • Demonstrate and effectively articulate the value propositions of our services eventually sealing an amicable and revenue-generating partnership with the targeted clients. Develop and interpret financial models for business development opportunities identified.  
  • Collaborate with other Functional Groups seamlessly to ensure Client expectations (which should have been set properly in the first place) are exceeded.
  • Ensure a healthy sales pipeline is maintained in the CRM.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or any related field of study with more than 3 to 10 years of sales and business development experience in penetrating and selling into Fortune 500 or major corporate and / or regional MNCs. MBA is a plus
  • Proven ability to communicate confidently and effectively especially with Senior Management audience (CXOs, VPs, Directors, Senior Managers) and act proactively in a consultative business environment. Able to produce results both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Outstanding relationship management capabilities with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of energy and self-driven initiative. The Sales characteristic preferred is a “Hunter” type. You have to be the type who craves a challenge and not afraid to push yourself outside your zone of comfort
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, intensely deadline driven environment with rapidly shifting priorities. 
  • Definite Plus if there are senior levels HR and/or Risk/Compliance contacts in Fortune 500 companies across multiple market verticals/segments.
  • Travelling might be required whenever needed. 


  • Insight-led Selling methodology ie Challenge-the-client-norms, re-educate the Clients and then position Avvanz's value propositions.
  • Candidates with Information Services or Professional Services selling experiences highly preferred. 
  • Excellent presentation skills. 
  • “Hands-on” approach to challenges and solutions oriented. 
  • Strong “soft skills” imbued with cross-cultural understanding of business across the APAC region.
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English is a MUST. Ability to speak other languages is a plus. 
  • Proficient in word processing, presentation, database, email and online software. Experience in working with Salesforce/Siebel is an added plus

Digital Marketing and Lead Generation Specialist

Avvanz is hunting for skilled and energetic Digital Marketing and Lead Generation Specialists and promises an aggressive KPI-based incentive plan along with a global professional development in an extremely exciting working environment.

Job Scope / Principal Accountabilities

1) Website and Social Media
** Manage, maintain and constantly update the website and the landing sites
** Track and analyse website traffic flow and provide regular internal reports
** Write and optimise content for the website and social media pages such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter
** Attain key performance indicators such as reducing the website bounce rate, increasing website traffic and dwell time and improving leads conversion
** Create, Launch and Evaluate a social media strategy
** Edit and post videos, podcasts and audio content on online sites

2) eDm Blasts and Campaigns
** Build and drive a comprehensive digital marketing campaign
** Push out minimum 3 campaigns and eDm blasts per week
** Write effective copies for marketing campaigns
** Track open rates, click-through rates and leads conversion

** Design and Develop Google AdWords 
** Create online banner adverts and oversee pay per click (PPC) ad management
** Work with external agency to ensure SEO related KPIs like ranking and conversions are met. 

4) Branding related work
** Identify new trends in digital marketing, evaluate new technologies and ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments
** Work on printed material to supplement online products

5) Networking events, Webinars
** Attend events and look for angles to position Avvanz
** Scout for speaking and exhibiting opportunites 
** Orchestrate regular Webinars and ensure high global attendance with eventual high conversion to sales

Skills and Competencies

  • Editing and writing skills: You need to devise and edit content for various digital platforms. Writing blog posts may well be an integral part of the job
  • Video editing skills: Website and social media content will not just be text but frequently visual as well
  • Web development skills: A digital marketing executive is not a software developer, but you will need sound knowledge of HTML/JavaScript, strong knowledge of search engine optimization and advanced Word and Powerpoint skills
  • Project management skills: Digital marketing executives also need to be good at handling time-sensitive projects and working to deadlines
